What is Kelsey International?
Kelsey International is a place where writers from all over the world may publish their work. We help you write, publish, and share your book in print form.
Who has the rights to my book?
You still own all the rights to your book! We are here to assist you get to the market through our distribution partners and operate as a publishing label. We have a non-exclusive publication agreement, which means that we don’t control any of your content and you can publish it anywhere else if you choose.
What is an ISBN, and will my book acquire one?
The term “ISBN” stands for “International Standard Book Number.” It’s a 13-digit number that bookshops and libraries use to tell books, periodicals, newspapers, and other publications apart. Each version of your book, whether it’s a paperback, hardback, or eBook, gets its own ISBN.
How do I set the selling price of my book?
The cost of making a book affects how much it costs to buy. We have a separate page for Calculate Author Earnings that explains how to set the price for your book.
Will I receive post-publishing support?
At Kelsey International, we work hard to make sure that all of our authors are happy with our services. If you have any questions once your book is published, our Author Support Team will help you via email.
How can you figure out how much money authors make from print books?
The difference between the MRP and the costs of making and distributing the book is what makes up the profit.
Profit = MRP – Costs (Costs of Distribution and Production).
Earnings?
Profits from book sales are paid to Authors every quarterly.
For example, all sales for the month of January are paid to you by the 10th of March.
The Author will receive the royalty as 50% on the selling price (after deducting Costs of Distribution and Production).

Author Biography
Your biography serves as your “elevator pitch” to readers, librarians, and academic peers. Please provide a version for the book jacket/cover and a (potentially) longer version for marketing materials.
Length:
- Short Bio: 50–75 words (for the back cover or interior flap).
- Long Bio: 150–200 words (for the publisher’s website and press releases).
Content Checklist:
- Current academic or professional affiliation and title.
- Significant previous publications (limit to 2–3 major works).
- Key research interests or areas of expertise.
- Notable awards, fellowships, or memberships.
- (Optional) A brief mention of location or personal interests if appropriate for the book’s tone.
Author Photograph
High-quality imagery is essential for both the physical book and digital promotion. Please ensure your photo meets these technical standards:
Requirement & Specification
- File Format: .JPEG, .JPG, or .TIFF
- Minimum 300 DPI (dots per inch) at print size
- Dimensions: At least 2″ x 3″ (approx. 600 x 900 pixels)
- Background: Use a neutral or non-distracting background (e.g., a solid wall, a library, or a professional office setting).
- Lighting: Ensure your face is well-lit from the front; avoid heavy shadows or “selfie” style angles.
